Returns & Refunds

Our voluntary return policy (30 days)
We offer a 30-day return window. You have 30 days from the delivery date to request a return under our store policy.

To be eligible, please return the item in a clean, resaleable condition. Where possible, include all accessories and packaging. Original packaging is not mandatory, but you may be liable for any diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to check the item’s nature, characteristics and functioning.

Return shipping costs:

  • For change-of-mind returns, the customer pays the return shipping.
  • For defective, damaged or wrong items, we cover the return shipping or provide a prepaid label.

Items sent back without contacting us first will still be processed, but may take longer to identify—please include your order number inside the parcel.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items

We do not accept returns for:

  • Custom or personalized items.
  • Perishable goods.
  • Sealed items that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases.
  • Gift cards and downloadable/digital products.

Sale items: In the EU, sale/discounted items are generally returnable under the 14-day right of withdrawal unless an exception applies by law.


Exchanges
For the fastest service, return the item (per the instructions above). Once the return is accepted, place a new order for the replacement item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
If your order is shipped into the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

  • How to exercise: email houseofmediterraneanessence@gmail.com with your order number, the items you wish to return, and your name and address.
  • Return period: after notifying us of withdrawal, please send the goods back within 14 days.
  • Refund: we will refund all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery (if charged), within 14 days from the day you informed us of your withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or you provide proof of having sent them back—whichever is earlier.
  • Return shipping costs: you will bear the direct cost of returning the goods (unless the item is defective or wrong).
  • Value reduction: you are responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the item’s nature, characteristics and functioning.

Refunds

We’ll notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, we’ll issue the refund to your original payment method. Please note:

  • Banks and card issuers can take additional time to post the refund.
  • If 15 business days have passed since your refund approval and it has not posted, contact us at houseofmediterraneanessence@gmail.com.
